Mixed ability up to 45 minutes, about 2 miles, moderate hills, steady pace. If this is your first Health Walk, please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start so you can listen to a pre walk briefing. Dance like no one is watching - in a fun and friendly over 50's environment.Stay for a coffee afterwards to meet new friends. All classes 45 mins. Simple to follow dance routines, variations given for different levels of fitness. Wear comfortable shoes that are not too grippy. Monday’s (11 – 1pm) Join the DRC Walking Group, meeting every Monday at our DRC head office in Kitts Green, Birmingham. You'll be greeted with a warm smile and a cup of tea or coffee. After some friendly conversation, we'll kick off with a 20-minute seated exercise session, followed by a relaxing walk-through Tile Cross Park.
Strength & Balance is a chair-based exercise programme for over-55s living in Islington. These sessions can be done sitting down but are also suitable for those looking to improve their balance and become steadier on their feet. These gentle exercise classes are also suitable for people with movement-limiting conditions such as COPD and arthritis. If you or a loved one are looking to improve strength and increase independence then this is the class for you.
