Walking football is designed to help people keep an active lifestyle despite their age, as well as getting those back playing football who had to stop due to injuries.

This 5 mile walk is suitable for Gear 2 walkers and although there are no steep hills there are inclines, the pace will be a Gear 2 pace! The walk is along hard tracks, grass farm tracks and woodland paths. Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.  Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.    

   This is a friendly and popular Nordic walking Group for those who have completed a Power of Poles induction  course. We explore the trails around Runcorn Hill  and  cover 2-3 miles   This is for members with a Nordic Walking UK FREEDOM passport  . Please bring  a small rucsac with your drink and any medication you may need
