Wellbeing Walks are short walks, run by friendly, specially trained volunteer walk leaders, who are on hand to provide encouragement and support. All walks are free of charge and are open to everyone – you don’t need to preregister, just come along and join us. The routes start and finish at the same location as advertised, and last between 30 and 90 minutes. We offer three different levels of walking groups to suit a variety of fitness levels and preferences: Walk Plus A brisk, faster-paced group (3.5 to 4 miles per hour), ideal for those who are generally fit and already walk regularly. Do you want to meet new people and have fun whilst exercising? Come along to these free adapted exercise sessions which are aimed for older people with health conditions to improve general fitness. The class will be led by a qualified instructor, who is experienced in running classes for the over 50's. Carers welcome.
Come along to our free Walk & Talk in Sheldon park and meet some new people whilst exercising. This activity is free to those aged 50 and over.

Falls are not an inevitable part of getting older and the good news is, falls can often be prevented. Steady and Strong classes for older adults have been developed by experts to increase your strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer and able to keep doing the things you love. You will do a mix of seated and standing exercises, with chair support for those who need it.
A seated version of our popular Tai Chi class. Studies have shown that regularly practising this Chinese martial art benefits seniors in several ways; it can improve flexibility, reduce symptoms of arthritis, effectively reduce stress and provide overall pain relief. It is a great choice if you are looking to improve your overall wellbeing.
