Walking Netball is a friendly and inclusive programme. It's netball but at a walking pace where rules are slightly tweaked. It has been designed so anyone can play regardless of age or fitness level.

It's all free and takes place at the same place and time every week with no booking required. A Low Impact circuit class aimed for residents who are inactive and at risk of cardiovascular diseases and mild to moderate mental health conditions. Please note all participants looking to take part must book a consultation to see the Get Active Specialist first. This consultation will run through the essential inclusion criteria to determine eligibility. Participants will receive 6 weeks free of exercise classes and then £4.50 per person
First Steps / Grade 1 - up to 30 minutes, mainly flat ground, possible gentle hills, gentle pace, no stiles. It is a for beginners and ideal for people who are returning to physical activity after injury or illness or who haven't been active in a while. It is suitable for wheel chair users and buggy users. Our combined Tai Chi and Qigong class starts with a gentle warm-up to calm the breathing and mind, and mobilise the body. Angela will guide you through the Tai Chi steps from the front of the hall, talking you through each of the movements. We will learn a new step or revisit and refine one each class, building on the previous movements to flow a sequence together. Otago is a muscle strengthening and balance retraining program developed and tested by the New Zealand falls prevention research group. The idea behind Otago is that muscle strength, balance, flexibility and reaction time can all be improved to reduce your risk of falling. The session will include use of chairs and ankle weights. First class free.
