Overview

The VICKs curlers meet every Monday during the curling season (September - March) at 12 00 hours. A game of curling takes about 2 hours and we come off the ice at approximately 14 00 to retire to the curler's lounge for some refreshment and good chat. Curling coaches participate in every session and so coaching is available to new and existing curlers. All curling equipment is available at the ice rink for curlers to borrow. All you need to bring with you is a clean pair of shoes to change into to go onto the ice, as it is essential for a good game that the ice is kept clean. Curlers need to wear layers of warm clothing including gloves and many curlers wear a hat. Curling is a very sociable game. The VICKs curlers aim to have fun while exercising both bodies and minds and of course to win the game. New curlers are very welcome.
