Overview
Pay and play sit-on-top kayaking is a fun session which allows you to explore a scenic stretch of the Thames river independently, or with friends and family, under supervision from a bank-based coach.
You will be able to kayak within view of the centre (about a 1km-1.2km stretch of river) with a coach on hand for if you have any issues.
We have single and tandem sit-on-top kayaks available, meaning that you can paddle independently, or with another person to help you move and steer the boat.

Attending the club:
Our pay and play sessions are £10 per person per hour. The session will be supervised by a coach on the river bank at the centre so that they are available should you need help. Our sit-on-top kayaks are very stable, this makes them hard to capsize or fall out of, and very suitable for beginners. To book a time, it's best to call us on 0118 926 8280, or email us at office@wokinghamwatersidecentre.com
When we meet:
These sessions can be booked to your convenience, usually between 10am-7pm.
Equipment:
All essential equipment is provided, this includes the sit-on-top kayak, paddles, and buoyancy aid.
Accessibility Information:
We have a car park close to the centre. This leads to a ramp which takes people upstairs to our office area, the area between the centre and the water is slanted ground, so the whole building is accessible step-free. We have changing rooms and disabled toilets, and a hoist is available to help people get into boats if needed.
