Overview
Sea-Change provides action-centred learning and an introduction to seamanship by offering an alternative approach to learning in a structured and safe yet challenging environment aboard a large traditional sailing vessel. Working with around 200 clients annually, the charity is well known for the success of its work with difficult to reach groups including those not in employment, education or training, those experiencing social exclusion, those with special needs or those at risk of offending. Most groups spend 5 nights living and working aboard. This develops self-realisation, which leads to confidence and the ability to lead fulfilling lives, in turn it benefits community cohesion.
