Overview

For children with different abilities from local Primary Schools we offer safe, accompanied riding in the grounds of the Royal Military Academy as well as in a large indoor arena. In sessions led by experienced, qualified coaches horse riding with Sandhurst Group Riding for the Disabled offers an opportunity for fun, challenge, friendship, laughter, achievement and improved independence and confidence.

Attending the club:

The sessions are available only to local Primary Schools by prior arrangement. A small fee is paid per child place, per term by each school. The actual children from each school attending a session may vary.

When we meet:

We meet on Thursday mornings during school term time between 10:00 and 12:00.

Is there a specific meeting point at the address:

Sandhurst Group Riding for the Disabled meets at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and provides only for children from local Primary Schools. There is no access to the Royal Military Academy except by prior arrangement with the Sandhurst Group. Contact John Blackwell on 01252 683348.

Equipment:

Children should wear appropriate secure footwear and adequate clothing for outdoor use if not raining. Hats are provided.

Accessibility Information:

The location is accessible to children with mobility impairments and to wheelchairs. There is step-free access. Children can use toilets, with the assistance of teachers if necessary.
