Hillsborough Hornets Disability Football Club
Sports category:
Football Sports
Overview
We provide football training for children between the ages of 3 and 16. The sessions are mixed in gender and mixed in ability, no prior knowledge of football is needed just the willingness to come, join in and have fun.
We offer membership to the club but this is not essential meaning you come to as many sessions as you want to come for. In the winter we move the under 14 years training indoors to protect the more vulnerable children from the elements.
We welcome any child to our group who may previously had issues getting into main stream football training.
We are a non profit making organisation so every penny that is raised or donated to the club goes straight back into buying essential equipment allowing us to continue offering this service to young disabled and vulnerable children.
The club is run solely on volunteers, we are all parents and siblings of people with disabilities so we know how hard getting into disability sport can be. Thats the reason we started our own club.
We are FA affiliated and fully insured. Our coaches hold FA coach badges and all of our volunteers, assistant coaches and committee members have completed courses in safeguarding and child safety.
