Overview

The Coventry Stampede Wheelchair Rugby Club are a nationally competitive club who cater to players of all abilities who wish to take part in one of parasport's fastest growing disciplines.
In official partnership with the Coventry Rugby Community Foundation, the Stampede have been running since January 2019 and have competed across the UK, including winning a leg of the GBWR Summer 5s back in August 2019.
Coached by three-time Paralympian Mandip Sehmi, we have players of all ages, with a range of physical disabilities. Using Mandip's expertise, we focus on physical health and fitness, tactical and skill development, and creating a social atmosphere for all involved.
Thanks to funding from a number of sources, we have been able to purchase a fleet of specialised chairs that all beginners would be open to using should they want to explore this fun and adventurous game!
In June of 2021, we officially launch our Junior section, working with a number of local SEND schools to provide local young disabled people in Coventry and Warwickshire the opportunity to take part in an exciting new sport.
