We work with schools and colleges, youth groups, church and community organisations, by providing life-enhancing, residential and day-sailing activities for young people with special needs, disabilities, and those experiencing hardship and deprivation. Tall Ship adventures for mixed ability people crewing as equals.

We are a friendly sailing club and offer dinghy sailing both racing and cruising on a lake We have a Hansa access boat but can also offer other sailing opportunities and training for anyone who can access these.

We provide accessible sailing sessions, which are safe, fun and offer opportunities to learn new skills. Our staff aim to remove any barriers to participation, and offer a warm welcoming environment.

RMYC offers one design keelboat racing on the tidal River Mersey.RMYC currently specifically allies itself to the UK North Blind Sailing Association therefore is best able to support blind sailing. RMYC also has a lot of members aged 50 plus and a number have hearing impairment.
