Walking Tennis is safe, fun and inclusive and a fantastic way to stay active! It’s a game that’s open to anyone - whether you’re a lifelong tennis player, a complete beginner or just need a bit more time to get into the swing of things, you can give the game a go in a friendly, supportive setting. Sessions cost £6 which include refreshments.
A Low Impact circuit class aimed for residents who are inactive and at risk of cardiovascular diseases and mild to moderate mental health conditions. Please note all participants looking to take part must book a consultation to see the Get Active Specialist first. This consultation will run through the essential inclusion criteria to determine eligibility. Participants will receive 6 weeks free of exercise classes and then £4.50 per person
Our shortest walk, 20-30 minutes, flat and even ground, gentle pace, no stiles, regular stopping places. Children are welcome, however under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult and must also be registered as a health walker.

Positive Movement is a very gentle exercise approach which combines techniques drawn from Adaptive Yoga (a well-researched method developed in America specifically for people with physical disabilities) with the principles and methods of the Alexander Technique (an approach which instils awareness of posture and movement) and with Mindfulness. This is a 4 mile walk across easy terrain of tracks, paths and droves. There is a shorter circuit should anyone choose to opt for this on the day. By increasing the pace this walk could be an Intermediate walk or Gear 2 walk. Equally it would be suitable for Gear 1 walkers as it is flat and the ground condition is good.
