Enhance your flexibility, strength, and inner peace with our weekly Yoga class at the Elmwood Centre. Suitable for all ages and abilities, this hour-long session focuses on mindful movement and deep breathing. This is Yoga for everybody and every body with Jackie.
Level 2: Up to 3 miles, tracks and some hills or moderate pace. Intermediate walks, ideal for those looking to develop their walking fitness and able to complete 45-60 mins with minimal stops. Under 18’s may attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Lark in the Park is a lively outdoor event packed with fun and exciting activities for children and young people aged 5 to 16. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the day, get active, and make great memories with friends and family! It’s a fantastic chance to try new games, get active, and share great moments together. For the safety and comfort of all participants, children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.
This walk is approximately 4.5/5 miles. There are two different options according to sign ups and the weather. Both options include a longish medium incline and possibly a couple of short steeper ramps. The walk is along country lanes, grass tracks, open countryside and wooded tracks. Gentle Wellbeing Walks are from 2-3 miles using Gears 1 and 2. Great for those who are getting back into exercise, have a health condition or simply want to move well and be fit for life! Note: These walks can also be adapted for fitter, injury-free nordic walkers by wearing a weigthed vest (available for trial or rent) Itt’s never too late to take that first step. A 45 minute open gym session where the music is lowered. Parents are allowed to come and train with there newborn/children if they are in a car seat or pushchair.
Within Quiet Hour the gym music is quieter, we ask all attendees to refrain from dropping weights/making loud noises and a gym coach will be available for any support.
The Fit 4 U 2 service provides physical activity opportunities for people with a learning disability. Their leisure centre sessions include a mix of group exercise and inclusive sports e.g. boccia, indoor golf, badminton, archery and kurling, which are adapted to meet needs of participants.
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie. It is not a requirement to register in advance but if you choose not to follow the online registration process we do ask that you email the contact on this page so where possible, they are able to communicate with you should any cancellation occur.
