Otago is a muscle strengthening and balance retraining program developed and tested by the New Zealand falls prevention research group. The idea behind Otago is that muscle strength, balance, flexibility and reaction time can all be improved to reduce your risk of falling. The session will include use of chairs and ankle weights. First class free.
Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire. Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.

Our Movement to Music classes, specifically for Over 60s, are a great way to keep moving without the intensity of a Keep Fit or Zumba class! We focus on balance; coordination; strengthening; and flexibility to keep the mind and body active. It is a great way to socialise and exercise with like-minded people, whilst improving joint mobility; preventing falls; building confidence and improving cardiovascular endurance.
Multi-sport session for adults with a disability, all ability levels welcome. The format of the sessions is multi-sport, our experienced coaches will provide a range of different sports, activities and games each week, encouraging participants to learn and develop new skills in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment.
A gentler form of netball, suitable for anyone steady on their feet. No prior experience is needed. The session includes a warm up, ball skills, a few games and a cool down. Coach is provided by Carlisle United Community Sports Trust

Our indoor Walking Tennis sessions started as a way for people with lower mobility to still participate in tennis. The smaller court, softer balls and two bounces allow the game to be played at normal speed but with less need for running. We now have around 20 players playing weekly! Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie.
