Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire. Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.
Falls are not an inevitable part of getting older and the good news is, falls can often be prevented. Steady and Strong classes for older adults have been developed by experts to increase your strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer and able to keep doing the things you love. You will do a mix of seated and standing exercises, with chair support for those who need it.

Come and join this weekly Wellbeing Walk along the canal and back by Just Straight Talk, taking place every Thursday afternoon. The meeting place is The Apple Tree Pub, Central Drive, WV14 9EW. The meeting time is 1:30. This is a leisurely walk and is approximately one hour long and around 2.2 miles in total. These uplifting dance classes focus on posture, strength, co-ordination and balance for people living with Parkinson’s, their family and carers. Classes begin seated, later moving to standing and travelling exercises; adaptations are offered throughout to suit different individuals. Refreshments are provided after the session.
