All round fitness class for seniors incorporating endurance, strength and balance exercises. Variations of exercises are shown to support different abilities. Each class is a little different but always fun and friendly! The class takes place in Stirchley Baths Community Centre. There are two sessions held at either 9.45 or 11am.
A Low Impact circuit class aimed for residents who are inactive and at risk of cardiovascular diseases and mild to moderate mental health conditions. Please note all participants looking to take part must book a consultation to see the Get Active Specialist first. This consultation will run through the essential inclusion criteria to determine eligibility. Participants will receive 6 weeks free of exercise classes and then £4.50 per person
Keep Active Move More Classes are an enjoyable way to improve stamina and general fitness working at your own pace. You can see the improvements after five sessions. This is a circuit based exercise program designed to keep you active and young at heart. The exercises offered are aerobic, strength, balance and stretching. A dedicated 55-minute session for those over 50+ that is both lane swimming and casual swimming, which also includes those with disabilities that require a quieter session.
Our gentle circuit exercise class is designed to support patients before, during and after cancer treatment. This class will gently work your whole body and is achievable for all levels of fitness. A Prehab/Rehab class that is designed to support you in returning to exercise or for those who are new to keeping fit.
Swimming is an low-impact workout that works the whole body. It can help build cardiovascular fitness, stamina and strength.
Chair-based Aerobics classes are a great way to get you exercising without the fear of falling. Seated exercise is good for mobility function, strength training and social inclusion
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site 01472 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
