These sessions are quieter with reduced capacity to cater for individuals with learning and disability needs, whether a physical or a hidden disability. Sessions are suitable for fitness, socialising, and rehabilitation.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site 01472 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
We encourage and promote sport to people with a disability to enable them to be physically active. Our sessions are led by enthusiastic and fully qualified coaches who will ensure that the participants have a great time and have an opportunity to to try a range of activities.
Choose from 2 walk grades. If this is your first Health Walk, please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start so you can listen to a pre walk briefing. You don't need any special equipment but be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water. A regular walking and nature interest group that meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 10am. Explore Canvey Wick Nature Reserve with Community Warden, Katie, and find out about some of the plants and animals that make their home here. Sometimes we take part in nature surveys such as the Big Butterfly Count, but no prior experience is necessary. It's a very friendly group and anyone is welcome to join us. Refreshments are available before and after the session.
