A swim session for people with disabilities. Parents and carers are welcome.
This is a Quiet Soft Play session for children up to 10 years old. Some session features include no music, familiar faces, and reduced capacity. Junior tickets include 1 free adult. All additional adults need to purchase a ticket. Socks must be worn at all times. No outside food or drink is permitted.
Sessions for all ages looking to build their water confidence for disabled people or those with long term medical or health conditions.
Chair-based exercise classes are a great way to get you exercising without the fear of falling. Seated exercise is good for mobility function, strength training and social inclusion
We encourage and promote sport to people with a disability to enable them to be physically active. Our sessions are led by enthusiastic and fully qualified coaches who will ensure that the participants have a great time and have an opportunity to to try a range of activities.
Our Qigong class starts with a gentle warm-up to calm the breathing and mind, and mobilise the body. Angela will guide you through the Qigong steps from the front of the hall, in mirror image, describing each of the movements. We will learn a new step or revisit and refine one each class, building on the previous movements to flow a sequence together. Along the way we'll learn the health benefits of each move. Help strengthen your core stability, improve muscle tone and mobility with our exercise class that has been specially designed for people who are at risk of or worried about falling. The instructor will take into consideration your individual circumstances and has a range of chair, standing and floor exercises.
Walking netball is played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run. This includes with the ball or off the ball, and includes jogging. You can ‘walk’ as fast as you want and walking as described in the rules is “one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times
