Walking netball is designed to help people keep an active lifestyle despite their age, as well as getting those back playing netball who had to stop due to injuries.
This is an indoor short tennis session for seniors using red balls. Those with Dementia are warmly welcomed and this class is open to everyone. Carers are also welcome to participate in the class but they must book on a participant. There is a short warm up which can be done seated or standing and then a very relaxed class where players can drop in and out of the activities as they wish and sit and chat when they are not playing. We use mini-rackets and slower red balls.
Our Skill X classes are based on developing athletic performance using a balanced training format scientifically proven to increase physical capacities. All workouts are designed to supercharge your Power, Agility, Speed, and Stamina, all within a short 45-minute session.
Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire. Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.

Very Gentle WALX is ideal if you’re easing back into activity, living with a health condition, or simply prefer a slower pace to stay active for life. Walk Yourself Fitter with Total Body Walking! This is an ideal WALX class, specifically designed for those coming off cardiac rehab and exercise referral programmes but open to all WALX members. These gentle outdoor WALX classes offer a range of benefits, including improved health, better balance, taller posture. All experienced within a social and supportive setting.
Join us for a 3 mile walk from our favourite park in the centre of Preston where we will look at some of the statues that have been placed in the city, and what their significance is and how they fit in with the city's history. This walk was postponed at the beginning of the year due to the weather, lets try again. It is essential to register and book in advance online.
