Circle dance is a form of community dancing in a circle to music from all around the world. It can be gentle or vigorous, meditative or fun, and no partner is necessary. We learn each dance as we go along so you don't need previous experience or a good memory. There are no wrong steps!! Wonderful for flexibility, balance and fitness as well as being joyful, spiritual and great for the mood.
Strength & Balance is a chair-based exercise programme for over-55s living in Islington. These sessions can be done sitting down but are also suitable for those looking to improve their balance and become steadier on their feet. These gentle exercise classes are also suitable for people with movement-limiting conditions such as COPD and arthritis. If you or a loved one are looking to improve strength and increase independence then this is the class for you.

Walks for Wellbeing offer supported , guided walks that are accessible to all. They offer an opportunity to get out in nature , meet and chat with new people , whilst getting some gentle exercise. . The walk starts at Tesco Hythe Colchester at 11am and we have various routes in green spaces . All our walks are FREE and last for around 60 mins to 75 mins
This walk is approximately 2 miles. The terrain is a mix of gentle inclines, a steeper hill and flat farm tracks. Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced. Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.
