Berkshire Vision provide a monthly programme of adapted and accessible sports for people with visual impairments. These sports change with the seasons, some run all year round.
An adaptable class that responds to your individual ability, water confidence and focus. Perfect for returning to exercise, building confidence and fitness. Suitable for recovery from injury or managing a musculoskeletal condition as well as general wellbeing. Pre-registration is required before attending your first Good Boost session, please contact your local leisure facility.
Adapted Riding
A free, fun gentle exercise session for all ages and abilities to improve wellbeing and general mobility. Exercises can be undertaken seated or standing. No special clothing or footwear are needed, just dress to feel comfortable.
Handcycle hire of a sport-on XCR adaptive handcycle: 1-2-1 session with a guided ride to build confidence. Individual hire that you can do independently, taking the handcycle out with a group friends/family or just on your own. As an adaptive cyclist, access to a handbike has enabled me to explore areas that were once off limits, and do so at my own pace. PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.

Lancaster Bulldogs Wheelchair Basketball Club is a friendly, welcoming and inclusive club. We compete in the British Wheelchair Basketball National League, and also the UKWB Development league and UKWB U15’s league. Our new weekly sessions for children and young people who are Deaf or are Hearing Impaired/Hard of Hearing. Sessions are for Girls and Boys, aged 4 to 16. Attendees may be Deaf and using BSL, or wearers of Cochlear Implants or Hearing Aids. Coaches have additional certification/qualifications in Deaf Awareness and/or BSL.
