Do you want to meet new people and have fun whilst exercising? Come along to these free adapted exercise sessions which are aimed for older people with health conditions to improve general fitness. The class will be led by a qualified instructor, who is experienced in running classes for the over 50's. Carers welcome.

A gentle 1.5 mile walk around Southwood Country Park. Every Thursday morning at 11:00.
Falls are not an inevitable part of getting older and the good news is, falls can often be prevented. Steady and Strong classes for older adults have been developed by experts to increase your strength and balance, helping you to stay stronger for longer and able to keep doing the things you love. You will do a mix of seated and standing exercises, with chair support for those who need it.

Our Community Club in Hackney runs weekly inclusive multi-sport sessions. The club offers a range of inclusive traditional and Paralympic sports including football, basketball, cricket, tennis, boccia and more. Be.Fit Together” is our twice-weekly drop-in session at Laura Trott Leisure Centre especially for people with a permanent or long term physical disability. The session is designed to encourage independent exercise in our main gym, as well as offering small group balance work in a separate area. It is a sociable, supportive group who come together in the cafe at the end of the session for a chat. Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie. A social, led, brisk, short walk which, done on a regular basis, can help you feel good and have more energy. Health Walks are led by trained walk leaders and vary in length to suit all abilities. Be sure to check with site to confirm the meeting place as it could be in a community setting rather than the Centre. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes and possibly a drink.
