Sport in Mind are delighted to present this free, welcoming and supportive football session at Prospect Park, Liebenrood Road, Reading, every Tuesday at 2-3.30pm. This session is open to anyone 17 years or older who is experiencing low mood, stress, social isolation or a mental health problem. This walk starts from Sicklinghall and heads north along Fox Heads Lane, and picks up the track towards Spofforth. The route then returns along Whins Lane, with stunning views as the path ascends past the Christmas tree plantations. At 3.3 miles, the walk takes about an hour and a half.
A 45 minute open gym session where the music is lowered. Parents are allowed to come and train with there newborn/children if they are in a car seat or pushchair.
People in wheelchairs CAN play drums, just like anybody else! With my novel technique of balancing the front wheel on the kick drum pedal and simply rocking forward, you can ROCK OUT to all your favourite songs, learn how to play in a band or write your own music, or simply a great way to exercise and have fun! Drumming is awesome and if you can wheely, you can drum!
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie.
