This is a walk for those who are managing a long term health condition. The session comprises of a walking route that can be inland, or along the coast at Goring. There will be rest stops, and the pace regulated to accommodate all those attending on the day. Also there will be exercises and activities to target flexibility, strength and balance. Our 3rd midweek explorer walk allows us to further explore the footpaths leading away from Thorpe. Starting at The Old Dog, we will cross fields up and down to Fenny Bentley and continue over fields uphill to Tissington. Our return will be a gentle walk back on the trail to the pub for a well deserved coffee/tea. 2 hours walking max 4 miles. (total ascent 135m/ 440 feet) From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills.
A walk on flat wide paths and country roads. We start from the playing field at Compton and walk around the outside of the village. There are fabulous views and we pass some very impressive houses on the way! There are no stiles on this route.
