Delivered by qualified dance instructors, our Norwich pan-disability Dance Sessions introduce participants aged 8+ to the basics of dance in fun, weekly classes. Focusing on key dance skills, the sessions, supported by funding from the Foundation, include routines and fun games. Participants can also look forward to exciting performance opportunities throughout the year. Sessions will take place at Carrow Park and will cost £2 per session.
Multi-sport session for children and young people with SEND and additional needs, all ability levels welcome. The session is for 8-19 year olds, siblings are welcome to attend also. The format of the sessions is multi-sport, our experienced coaches will provide a range of different sports, activities and games each week, encouraging participants to learn and develop new skills in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment.
International leaders of Disability access in dance, Stopgap Dance Company, run a range of youth and adult community dance groups across the southeast of England. They meet weekly during term time and follow Stopgap's inclusive dance syllabus IRIS, which supports the development of Disabled young people’s dance skills. ‘Tigers’ is a football club for adults (18+) who have a learning disability. We train on a Monday evening from 5.00pm to 6.00pm at South Wilts Sports Club, Wilton Road, Salisbury. From time to time the club is involved in tournaments, where we play against similar teams from other parts of Wiltshire. South Wilts Mencap support the club by transporting the players to tournaments in the minibus.
