A swim session for people with disabilities, parents and carers are welcome
Swimming is an low-impact workout that works the whole body. It can help build cardiovascular fitness, stamina and strength.
Water aerobics is a form of aerobic exercise, set to uplifting music in a swimming pool. The resistance of the water makes the workout feel far more intense, while the water cushions you from the impact. Whilst Water Aerobics is a great form of resistance training, it also focuses on aerobic endurance, which can help you build muscle tone, and get fit. It is also a sociable class atmosphere, so come on jump in!
An adaptable class that responds to your individual ability, water confidence and focus. Perfect for returning to exercise, building confidence and fitness. Suitable for recovery from injury or managing a musculoskeletal condition as well as general wellbeing. Pre-registration is required before attending your first Good Boost session, please contact your local leisure facility.
This class takes into account the specific needs of varied demographics including inactive, sedentary, disabled, obese, rehabilitation, recovery, older and frailer older adults in a variety of environments. We start on the chairs and then we carry on with standing up routines for the most able.
