You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Sessions are full of fun, laughter and camaraderie. It is not a requirement to register in advance but if you choose not to follow the online registration process we do ask that you email the contact on this page so where possible, they are able to communicate with you should any cancellation occur. Mainly seated class to help support stronger bones, improve mobility and daily active living. Suitable for people who are at risk of falling or who have fallen previously and are gaining confidence.
A swim session for people with disabilities. Parents and carers are welcome.
Walking netball is played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run. This includes with the ball or off the ball, and includes jogging. You can ‘walk’ as fast as you want and walking as described in the rules is “one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times'”.
Chair based exercises.
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done seated on a chair or use the chair for support when standing. The benefits are improved balance, flexibility concentration and strength. Chair Yoga also helps with reducing tension, aiding relaxation and reduces the stress on joints. This is ideal for people who would love to try yoga but who may struggle with moving from standing to kneeling, lying down or who would require support and balance.
