Participants must complete and submit a referral form prior to accessing this class This class is part of our BE ACTIVE … live well programme which is aimed at those with a health condition; the older adult; and/or those who haven't exercised before and don't know where to start. Seated exercise is a chair based exercise to music class, which is suitable for all levels.
This class is for men and women with mobility problems and those who find a regular class too difficult. The class can be done seated or standing. I have experience of teaching older people and those with arthritis, joint replacements, osteoporosis, Parkinson's, MS, COPD, asthma, diabetes, weight management issues, post cancer, early dementia, macular degeneration.

A step by step approach to help you live with and beyond cancer by providing you with a range of tools and opportunities to enhance your recovery. The program is available to people across Berkshire and can be on a self referral basis.
An adaptable class that responds to your individual ability and focus. Perfect for returning to exercise, building confidence and fitness. Suitable for recovery from injury or managing a musculoskeletal condition as well as general wellbeing. Pre-registration is required before attending your first Good Boost session, please contact your local leisure facility.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
Dancing with Parkinson's programme offers dance and movement sessions appropriate for those living with Parkinson's and anyone living with a neurological condition, heart or circulatory disease. We currently run classes every Wednesday afternoon 2.30-4pm at the William Loveless Hall in Wivenhoe, Colchester. Classes are free to attend, but we welcome donations to support our work.
