Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire. Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.
Dancing with Dementia classes offer a chance for participants to experience creative movement and dance with their companions. Classes focus on stimulation of the brain through movement, repetition, props and musical timelines. These factors offer the opportunity to keep the mind alert whilst also unlocking support for general well-being. Sessions run for 2 hours in total which includes a 60 minute dance class and concludes with a social over tea & coffee.
