This 5 mile walk is suitable for Gear 2 walkers and although there are no steep hills there are inclines, the pace will be a Gear 2 pace! The walk is along hard tracks, grass farm tracks and woodland paths. Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced. Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.

Lyme Park Nordic Walks Come and join us on a social walk on a circular route of around 5km within the Historic Estate of Lyme Park. Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family, and in its heyday a great sporting estate. The estate is 1400 acres, so offers lots of different walks with stunning views, and we may see some of their famous deer herd too. A more gentle walk for those with a recent medical condition that means that mobility is limited, and who feel their fitness levels have declined as a result. The challenge is still to manage an hour walk, with rests when needed. Regularly weekly walks can bring improvements. Start of the walk is at the same time of the other group.
