PD Power is a 45-minute exercise class designed to address Parkinson’s symptoms including coordination and balance as well as improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength. Our class is based on research that suggests high-effort, multidirectional and repetitive movements have the potential to help slow down the progression of Parkinson’s symptoms using neuroplasticity.
The classes are suitable for older adults who haven’t exercised before or who have started to experience a decline in their physical ability. Includes a 30 Minute Social. Each class is taught by a qualified and knowledgeable instructor who will be able to answer any questions you might have. Instructor led sessions where participants are able to follow individually tailored exercise to meet their muscular skeletal conditions.
Yoga without the up and down to the floor. Chair Yoga is ideal if you're feeling a bit stiff and creaky, or maybe feeling a bit off balance, or perhaps working with an injury or condition that limits your mobility or strength. This class will start seated. Students then have the option to practice some standing postures - using the chair for balance, if required - or you may prefer to stay seated throughout.
