Join this free Wellbeing walk, for fresh air and fitness in a friendly environment. Wellbeing Walks are short walks, led by friendly, specially trained volunteer walk leaders, who are on hand to provide encouragement and support. The walks are free of charge and are open to everyone – you don’t need to preregister, just come along and join the group at the advertised time. The route starts and finishes at the same location. We run a recreational walking football session for ladies over 40 and men over 50. No experience necessary.
Short Mat Bowls is a social sport played indoors and our sessions are a fun way to learn how to play bowls and improve your skills in a friendly and relaxed environment. Games are played between teams of two (pairs) or three (triples) usually over six ‘ends’. These sessions are for those who have played before and those who would like to try something new. Equipment is provided but if you would like to bring your own bowls please do.
The classes are suitable for older adults who haven’t exercised before or who have started to experience a decline in their physical ability. There are two classes available: A Beginner/Intermediate class which lasts for 45 minutes and an Intermediate/Advanced class, which lasts for approximately 1 hour.
