Group fitness class consisting of basic weightlifting moves to improve general health, improve bone strength and muscle density. Suitable for all fitness levels 16+
Suitable for all levels. A restful, calming class incorporating different aspects of yoga. This slightly longer class (90 minutes) allows time to explore postures, relaxation, breathing and meditation. A perfect beginner's class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga. Age 14+.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
Join this free Wellbeing walk, for fresh air and fitness in a friendly environment. Wellbeing Walks are short walks, led by friendly, specially trained volunteer walk leaders, who are on hand to provide encouragement and support. The walks are free of charge and are open to everyone – you don’t need to preregister, just come along and join the group at the advertised time. The route starts and finishes at the same location. A swim session for people with disabilities. Parents and carers are welcome.
Sociable midweek daytime run with optional chat, coffee and cake at Cafe Ambio afterwards . Everyone welcome. Typically an easy 30 minutes or 5km run session depending on who turns up. You can use this session to have company if you want to start a c25k program. Please note that some runs may be suitable for children aged 8+ where the Run Leader(s) holds the relevant qualifications and insurance. A dedicated 55-minute session for those over 50+ that is both lane swimming and casual swimming, which also includes those with disabilities that require a quieter session.
Swimming is an low-impact workout that works the whole body. It can help build cardiovascular fitness, stamina and strength.
Our gentle circuit exercise class is designed to support patients before, during and after cancer treatment. This class will gently work your whole body and is achievable for all levels of fitness. A Prehab/Rehab class that is designed to support you in returning to exercise or for those who are new to keeping fit.
