Pace one A 2k to 3k gentle WALX that incorporates balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of yoga or relaxation too. On Monday these walks take place around Stanmore and Harrow Weald on mainly flat terrain but we do go on trails through the woods so that we can enjoy the changes in nature throughout the year. These inclusive cycling sessions provide opportunities for individuals with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities to enjoy the benefits of cycling. Our programme uses adaptive cycles such as hand cycles, tricycles, wheelchair carriers and tandems, ensuring everyone, regardless of age or ability, can participate. We offer short walks of between 25 - 30 minutes at the pace of the slowest or least confident person and we are happy to stop and wait for anyone who needs to rest during the walks. The walk is usually followed by a refreshments and a chat.
We are a wheelchair rugby club based in Dorset, there is no experience necessary just a physical disability if you're an adult. All children aged 8-17 years can play, but a large majority of Junior Programme members have a physical or learning impairment. We are pleased to confirm our next Witham Walk&Talk4Men event with Alex MacGregor, which is our usual River Walk for our gents and bros, taking place on Sunday 17th August, meeting outside the Town Hall in Newland Street at 11am and starting off at 11:15am.
