A bookable, calm, quiet pool time to support building a relationship with the water. Suitable for swimmers with a disability and their supporters.
We offer swimming sessions to anyone who has a physical, visual or hearing impairment who would like to improve their swimming. These sessions are delivered by highly qualified coaches who support and encourage all swimmer regardless of their impairment. The sessions are adaptable to enable all swimmers to grow in confidence, ability and self esteem in a safe and supportive environment, with a focus on competitive swimming. These sessions run on Fridays 7:30-8:10pm
The coaching team is made up of eight coaches who are qualified and some who are currently completing their FA coaching courses. The team is made up of adults with additional needs and plays in the Sussex disability league and has had some success in previous years under another team. They have won the Chelsea disability tournament and were on track to win the Sussex disability league before covid began. Ability Counts is our PAN-disability football programme for players with disabilities aged 5-25 and their friends and family, held every Friday evening at The Cliff Training Ground. Sessions run weekly on Fridays at The Cliff Training Ground, Lower Broughton Rd, Salford M7 2HU. 7.00-7.45pm: Mixed group, ages 5-11 7.00-7.45pm: Girls only group 7.45-8.30pm: Mixed group, ages 12-16 8.45-9.30pm: Mixed group, ages 16-25
