Lace your walking boots up, step out, and let the world unfold beneath your feet. Our Explorer WALX will venture into the beautiful areas around the Forest. This 2-mile walk is primarily on flat terrain but can be muddy on occasions. Allow 1 hour for the walk. This Explorer WALX session is open to walkers who do not wish, or are not able, to use poles. This session is suited to those who are looking to improve their fitness and can walk at a minimum pace of 2 mph.
Come and join us for some festive fun with a Winchester walk including the River Itchen and the water meadows, St Catherines Hill and then into the city taking in some literary interest of John Keats and Jane Austen who both spent time here. These walks are a great opportunity to exercise and meet and chat to other walkers. They are of gentle pace with the opportunity should you wish to push yourself a little further. You will walk with a qualified walk leader or master. This walk will take place in Jephson Gardens with plenty of opportunity to sit, rest and watch the worid go by!! This walk is ideal if you need confidence in getting back to walking as you will be supported along the way

This is a tennis session for adults with learning disabilities. Sessions are run by a tennis coach and are fun and informal, with games and activities, music and a chance to learn new skills, spend time with others, and be active outdoors. A slower version of the game, it`s still netball, but played at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it, regardless of fitness level and sessions are taken by a trained activator. Don’t worry if you have forgotten the rules, as they will be able to help you on your way to getting back into the sport you love.
