The multisport session is held indoors and is suitable for any level of ability. There are a range of different sport activities each week including Tennis, Boccia, Seated Volleyball and New Age Curling to name a few. Mutisports sessions take place at the Waterfront Leisure Centre 11.00-12.00pm. The tennis sessions are held on the Mini courts 10.00-11.00am. This multisport session will follow on after the tennis. Participants can attend both sport sessions if they wish.
We offer mat based classes for all levels. Adaptations for those who attend with post injury/weakness recovery work All our classes are open to everyone as we offer many differentiation moves and all classes offer progressions and regressions. The classes are suitable for older adults who haven’t exercised before or who have started to experience a decline in their physical ability. There are two classes available: A Beginner/Intermediate class which lasts for 45 minutes and an Intermediate/Advanced class, which lasts for approximately 1 hour. Level 2: Up to 3 miles, tracks and some hills or moderate pace. Intermediate walks, ideal for those looking to develop their walking fitness and able to complete 45-60 mins with minimal stops. Under 18’s may attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This cycle scheme gives people with health conditions and supported needs the chance to get into cycling. We offer specialist equipment and a safe, friendly environment to support people who would normally find it difficult to ride a bike. This sessions is open to anyone who would like to have a go a tennis which is a little bit slower. The rules of walking tennis as slightly adapted, you are allowed 2 bounces, which both have to be within the court. The tennis balls used are softer and slower than a typical tennis ball. This session is very sociable and easy going.
