Hampshire Healthy Families Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire. Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.
This group is for those that have had primary breast cancer diagnosed and are after breast cancer moving on from treatment and looking forward to their life and journey onwards. Want to learn something new and fun, which is a full-body workout without feeling like one? Enjoy walking outdoors with like-minded others – great for mental and physical well-being, easy on the joints, and it burns up to 46% more calories than normal walking! Join Us for a Midweek Gentle Walk Around Chichester’s Historic Walls Take a relaxing midweek break and enjoy a gentle 2-mile walk around the beautiful Walls surrounding Chichester. This social walk is a great opportunity to meet others and enjoy the outdoors at a comfortable pace. We’ll include a coffee stop along the way, and while there are a few small ramps and steps, these can be avoided if needed. Everyone is welcome — come along and enjoy some fresh air and good company
Short Mat Bowls is a social sport played indoors and our sessions are a fun way to learn how to play bowls and improve your skills in a friendly and relaxed environment. Games are played between teams of two (pairs) or three (triples) usually over six ‘ends’. These sessions are for those who have played before and those who would like to try something new. Equipment is provided but if you would like to bring your own bowls please do.
