Monday’s (11 – 1pm) Join the DRC Walking Group, meeting every Monday at our DRC head office in Kitts Green, Birmingham. You'll be greeted with a warm smile and a cup of tea or coffee. After some friendly conversation, we'll kick off with a 20-minute seated exercise session, followed by a relaxing walk-through Tile Cross Park.

This walk is for approximately 1/1.25 hours. There are a couple of alternative routes from the start depending on sign ups and the ground conditions. There are some gentle inclines along country lanes, farm tracks and footpaths. Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.

A moderate walking pace incorporating strength and balance exercises outdoors. This Total Body WALX class is ideal for those wanting to progressively build their aerobic fitness, and improve strength and balance. The class is open to those using poles, not using poles and those who would like to try poles.
Duration - 1 hour, walk grade 2. This walk is conducted at a gentle pace, with rest stops if required. Regular catch-up and re-grouping to allow people to walk ahead if required.
