Gentle Walk with Mel Explore - woodland, hills and meadows, all part of these most enjoyable walks. This walk is for those who can walk 5-6 km in an hour and is moderate pace. Please do get in touch if you wish to ascertain your suitability. It is essential to register and book in advance online. For just a £28.00 monthly membership you can join *unlimited WALX, *90mins & under.
A social, led, brisk, short walk which, done on a regular basis, can help you feel good and have more energy. Health Walks are led by trained walk leaders and vary in length to suit all abilities. Be sure to check with site to confirm the meeting place as it could be in a community setting rather than the Centre. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes and possibly a drink.
Participants meet and chat with a hot or cold drink from 1:00-1:30PM before beginning the relaxing and rejuvenating route from Hay Hall Manor House, Birmingham, B11 2BE, along the canal and back to Hay Hall Manor House. The walk usually takes an hour from 1:30-2:30PM. Resources for Autism partner with us for this walk.

Starting out from South Stainley, and passing by the new eco houses, this walk crosses fields to join Station Lane at Burton Leonard. It then returns via Jackson Wood to emerge by the church at South Stainley. At 3.5 miles, the walk takes around 90 minutes.
