Beds RCC co-ordinates Wellbeing Walks walk programmes throughout Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough. Our walks are free, fun and friendly – perfect to help you get active and meet new people. If you’d like to take part all you have to do is come along to the start point and make yourself known to one of the trained walk leaders. Wellbeing walks are regular walks which are free and open to all – though aimed particularly at people who are presently doing little or no exercise – and usually last for about an hour. An introduction session to the activities of Nordic Walking and Total Body Walx groups of Walx West Highland set in the stunning scenery of Benderloch. Instruction is provided in the correct use of poles to improve posture, mobility and flexibility and a stepping stone to improved Fitness and Health, in a sociable and welcoming atmosphere. If you don’t have poles no need to worry these can be loaned to you for the session.
A pleasant 4 mile walk from the quaint village of Tichborne. The route follows Allan King Way towards Gander Down then loops back with the final section heading north through Tichborne park.
