PD Power is a 45-minute exercise class designed to address Parkinson’s symptoms including coordination and balance as well as improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength. Our class is based on research that suggests high-effort, multidirectional and repetitive movements have the potential to help slow down the progression of Parkinson’s symptoms using neuroplasticity.
Brisk and Burning Nordic Walking can quickly build your general fitness, but adding some specific exercises will help you to perform better and keep improving your fitness. In these walks we will do interval sessions (alternating between fast (gear 3/4, speedhyking) and slow (gear 2) Nordic Walking and hill drills in combination with muscular strength and endurance exercises. All the year round bowls for members and those who join our 1 hour Bowl For Health sessions. Coaching is free. Bowl For Health costs £2.70 for an hours fun bowls - we supply the equipment and you get a drink and biscuits at the end.

Class is gentle seated exercise for less mobile members. Suitable for people with mobility issues.
Inclusive exercise session led by Sport for Confidence. Sport for Confidence programmes place health professionals and specialist coaches into leisure centres, to provide inclusive sporting opportunities to people who face barriers to participation, including those with learning disabilities, mental health issues, dementia, autism, physical impairment or disability, homelessness, and many other complex health needs.
Class is gentle seated exercise for less mobile members. Suitable for people with mobility issues.
Yoga without the up and down to the floor. Chair Yoga is ideal if you're feeling a bit stiff and creaky, or maybe feeling a bit off balance, or perhaps working with an injury or condition that limits your mobility or strength. This class will start seated. Students then have the option to practice some standing postures - using the chair for balance, if required - or you may prefer to stay seated throughout.
