Swimming is an low-impact workout that works the whole body. It can help build cardiovascular fitness, stamina and strength.
The Accessible Swim Session is designed to help disabled and less-abled swimmers to build on their water confidence and swimming technique. Available to to all users in a friendly and supportive environment. Pool hoist availabe if required.
These sessions are quieter with reduced capacity to cater for individuals with learning and disability needs, whether a physical or a hidden disability. Sessions are suitable for fitness, socialising, and rehabilitation.
Walking football is played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run. This includes with the ball or off the ball, and includes jogging. You can ‘walk’ as fast as you want and walking as described in the rules is “one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times'”. A swim lane for registered disabled individuals and their carers. Where possible a double width lane will be provided to maximise social distancing. *Not available online*
