In partnership with the charity READY (Recreation and Easy Access for Disability Youth), and The Golf Trust, we are introducing an open day for all those aged 15-21 with either a physical or mental disability. There are 2 sessions, either from 10-12am or 2-4pm, to give golf a try. No previous experience is necessary, just come and play. Breakfast is provided for the morning group, and lunch is provided for those playing in the afternoon. Expert coaches are on hand and equipment is provided.
We are based at the start of an 11 mile off road Cycle Path, stretching from us in Yatton, to Cheddar. We have a great range of bikes, regular bikes, handcycles, a veloplus wheelchar bike, trikes, adaptive tandems, E-bikes and more. We also have funding to enable people with disabilities and additional needs to access cycling. Our home is at Yatton Railway Station, so it is easy to access us via train from Temple Meads, Bristol. Grampian Inclusive Cycling Bothies (GICB) is a 3-year lottery funded project to make cycling more accessible in Grampian. We currently have cycling bothies in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Alford and Banff, where we run regular sessions using adapted bikes. Adult Walking Tennis - if you are a little less mobile or have a health condition which you feel limits you from keeping up with everyone else, why not try Walking Tennis. A smaller court area is used, with softer and slower balls, which can bounce twice. Underarm serves can be used. All abilities are welcome - just play your way at your pace.
All To Play For is a weekly socially inclusive drop-in football programme for men aged 18+ struggling with poor mental health, which has made a significant and positive impact on the lives of participants.
