Greenwich parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km timed run that takes place every Saturday at 9am in Avery Hill park near Eltham. Greenwich parkrun is open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. We encourage people of every ability to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; we welcome you all. A free timed weekly 5km run, walk or run/walk. There is no pressure to compete and you cannot come last! We are a run (or walk), not a race.
Join us for a weekly timed run, jog, or walk over a measured 5km (3.1 mile) course which starts and finishes in Apex Park. The route takes you around the lake, back on the river path and along the Esplanade, turning around before the jetty, and heading back to the finish. It is free to take part, but to get a time you need to register with parkrun. The event occurs every Saturday morning at 0900hrs. We usually get about 250 people taking part.
