United Reformed Church, 77 Robins Lane, Bramhall, Stockport, SK7 2EF SMILE is a low impact and gentle exercise concept developed by Life Leisure. The programme provides a fun, engaging and adaptable exercise and physical activity sessions for older adults and those with long term health conditions or disabilities.
Yang Style Tai Chi and Qigong
Our Functional Fitness Class supports older people to maintain a healthy active life. The class encompasses exercises to support Endurance, Strength, Agility, Balance and Co-ordination - everything you need to keep leading an active life! The class is suitable for all abilities and all ages (over 50!). Variations of exercises are provided to suit all abilities.
CIYMS Tennis Club run inclusive sessions for people with sight loss. Adult sessions are every Tuesday from 11.30am - 12.30pm. Junior sessions (for under 18's) are every Saturday evening from 5.30pm - 6.30pm and 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Opportunity provided by www.activelivingnolimits.co.uk hosted by Disability Sport NI.
GOGA Fit is an inclusive fitness class aimed at developing your fitness with a series of low intensity exercise that can be adapted to suit your needs. Ideal for seniors, disabled people, people with health conditions and those returning to exercise. Every Tuesday 11:30-12:30am £2 per session. Limited spaces available. Booking is essential.
The Fit 4 U 2 service provides physical activity opportunities for people with a learning disability. Their leisure centre sessions include a mix of group exercise and inclusive sports e.g. boccia, indoor golf, badminton, archery and kurling, which are adapted to meet needs of participants.
A swimming session aimed for over 60s as well as adults and children with disabilities. It’s a great way to socialise and relax in a pool environment.
In this type of physical activity, the individual completes the activity while seated in a chair . This allows those with mobility or balance issues to exercise and alleviates pressure from the lower body for those who are in pain
