Would you like to learn the correct technique and discover the benefits of Nordic Walking? My weekly sessions will provide you with the skills to get the best results from your walks. With some leg strengthening exercises and stretches to complete the walk.
All round fitness class for seniors incorporating endurance, strength and balance exercises. Variations of exercises are shown to support different abilities. Each class is a little different but always fun and friendly! The class takes place in Stirchley Baths Community Centre. There are two sessions held at either 9.45 or 11am.
Fit for Life Community based exercise classes for older men and women in Churchdown, Longlevens, Hucclecote, Brockworth and Barnwood. All our classes help maintain your independence with functional exercises to strengthen your heart and lungs; maintain strong bones, muscles, improved posture, flexibility and mobility. Our gentle circuit exercise class is designed to support patients before, during and after cancer treatment. This class will gently work your whole body and is achievable for all levels of fitness. A Prehab/Rehab class that is designed to support you in returning to exercise or for those who are new to keeping fit.
A dedicated 55-minute session for those over 50+ that is both lane swimming and casual swimming, which also includes those with disabilities that require a quieter session.
Swimming is an low-impact workout that works the whole body. It can help build cardiovascular fitness, stamina and strength.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site 01472 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
