Football targeting (though not exclusively for) the Senior age group playing to the widely accepted rules of Walking Football Affiliated to Taunton Town FC so players can, if they wish, play in local and regional Tournaments. Played Outdoors on 3G Astro. 2 sessions, Sunday 11.00 - 12.00 and Tuesday 10.00 - 11.00. Sunday tends to be a little more competitive, Tuesday a little more inclusive. For those of our members (and their partners/carers as appropriate) with mild Parkinson's symptoms, this is a gentle and safe way to improve posture, functional movement and confidence when walking. No pressure here to walk further or faster than you feel comfortable with. This leisurely walk lasts up to an hour, and includes exercises that help with flexibility, balance and strength.
The Strollers Health Walk is a highly social and supportive session, perfect for improving your health and fitness. If you find the pace a bit challenging, you can join the 10.15am Striders Group, a slightly faster option. Join our Guided Nordic Walk around the ancient Forest. Walks are led by our team of experienced Forestry England Volunteers. Our walks are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, who have completed a NWUK Learn to Walk Course and are comfortable walking for the full 90 minutes.
