A 45 minute open gym session where the music is lowered. Parents are allowed to come and train with there newborn/children if they are in a car seat or pushchair.
This is the class for you if you are feeling your age, or flexibly-challenged, want to improve your muscular and core body strength, and/or improve your balance and energy levels. Yoga is also known for improving mental well-being. Each class starts with a time to rest and breathe, followed by gentle warm-up exercises for the muscles and joints, before progressing onto stronger exercises. Everyone goes at their own pace. Swimming is an low-impact workout that works the whole body. It can help build cardiovascular fitness, stamina and strength.
Participants must complete and submit a referral form prior to accessing this class This class is part of our BE ACTIVE … live well programme which is aimed at those with a health condition; the older adult; and/or those who haven't exercised before and don't know where to start. Seated exercise is a chair based exercise to music class, which is suitable for all levels.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have never used the toning suite before you are required an induction. Inductions are £11.80 and must be booked over the phone or in site (01472) 326875. You are only permitted to use the Toning Suite if you meet a certain criteria which will be authorised by the Fitness Supervisor.
