Overview
Join us to follow the old Wirral railway through what is now a country park. From Hooton the trail takes us through countryside past Willaston, Leahurst and Neston to the seaside at Parkgate.
From there we walk parallel to the coast with views across the Dee along the quiet trail to West Kirby.
Return by train takes approx. 1 hour via Hamilton Square. £7.60.
12.5 miles flat walking. Mostly surfaced.Arrive by train or park at Hooton (£1.50 per day).
Meet outside Hooton Station entrance. Bring packed lunch, snack and drink, wind and waterproofs. Toilets at 2 miles and 7 miles.
